Welcoming news about the funding for my immunotherapy, that isn’t available on the NHS, was a significant step forward in my treatment journey. It inspired me to channel my positivity into my art, especially a lion painting, symbolising strength and resilience. Nurturing that creative spirit can be such a powerful source of comfort and empowerment during this time. Navigating a challenging and ever-evolving creative process, balancing the unpredictability of work with the physical limitations of healing from a broken foot
The first layer went on, then had to wait for it to dry while playing with colour mixes for the next layer…

Essential learning . . . . .
Learning a new art technique can significantly enhance your current work by expanding your creative skills, offering fresh perspectives, and introducing innovative methods that can elevate the quality and originality of your projects.
This may not be going the way I first intended it too, but going with the flow can be tough, often leading to unexpected inspiration and growth. I keep having to push myself at the moment to reconnect with my art, even if progress often feels slow at times—hopefully, resilience and adaptability may enrich my work in ways I might not have anticipated.
